Creating a timeless tribute takes time and love. Here is everything you need to know about starting your Lewool journey.
Photos & Customization
What kind of photos do I need to upload? What if my pet has passed away and I don't have high-quality photos?
  • Ideally, we recommend uploading 3-5 photos from different angles (front, side, and close-up of the face). Photos taken in natural light work best for capturing the true fur color.
  • For Memorial Pieces: We completely understand that you may not have "perfect" photos of a pet who has passed. Please upload the best photos you have and use the "Special Notes" section to describe specific details (e.g., "She had a small white patch on her chin").
  • Our artists are skilled at combining multiple references to capture their unique spirit. We may contact you for clarification if needed.
Do you sculpt animals other than cats and dogs?
  • Absolutely. Lewool celebrates all life. Whether it’s a bunny, hamster, horse, or bird, if you can provide the photos, we can sculpt it.
Can I change my choice of fabric or accessories after placing the order?
  • You can contact us to make changes before you receive our "Production Confirmation Email."
  • Once production begins, the base structure and color palette are set, making changes difficult. We recommend carefully selecting your Fabric and Accessories during the checkout process to best match your pet's personality.
Timeline & Process
What is the turnaround time?
  • Every Lewool piece is hand-sculpted needle by needle. Typically, production takes 15 days. Including shipping time, we recommend booking at least 2 months in advance, especially for birthdays or holidays.
  • Need it sooner? Please contact us to check availability for a Rush Order, or consider purchasing a Digital Gift Card, allowing the recipient to enjoy the custom experience themselves.
Material & Artistry
What materials do you use? Is the sculpture fragile?
  • Lewool uses premium 100% Natural Wool (including Merino).
  • Needle felt is often called "soft sculpture"—it is firm and durable. However, it is a piece of art, not a toy.
  • If kept away from pets (who might mistake it for a toy!) and direct friction, it is of Heirloom Quality and will last a lifetime.
Can I incorporate my pet's actual fur into the sculpture?
  • Yes, this is a beautiful and popular request for memorial pieces. Please mention this in the "Special Notes" section.
  • We will provide instructions on how to mail a small amount of fur to our studio. We will then carefully felt it into the core or base of the sculpture, keeping a part of them with you forever.
Returns & Satisfaction
What is your return policy?
  • Because each piece is custom-made specifically for your pet, we cannot offer returns or refunds once production has started.
  • However, your happiness is our priority. This is why we include the "Pre-shipment Approval" step—to ensure you are satisfied with the likeness before it leaves our studio.
  • If there are any quality issues upon arrival (damage during transit), please contact us within 48 hours.
